New track!
More to come soon, incl some improved versions of older ones.. Also welcome to Durban. Anyone who's had a listen might recognise 'Revelation', I had it up here as 'Bitch House' (My choon, Their lyrics) When I get it back up the lyrics will be the originals written by a guy I was in a band with in the 90's- Dave Holland. I can't think of any better ones. A bit about me. I don't look much like a space rocker, but I like listening to a lot of it, and some of my music is going that way, I also like the energy of punk, the trance of dance & the power of rock & try to mix it all up a bit. I still do the occasional mosh pit in my 50's & last time came away with a bruise on my funstick.. I didn't pick up a guitar until around 19 but then didn't take learning to play it seriously until I moved to Sheffield in 93, I was 33. I had to be part of the amazing scene here (still trying to be). Was in many bands no one ever heard of until Durban, settled on being a solo performer now, I'm a bit too independent to have to rely on others or for them to have to rely on me, I got out of the 8-5 grind for that reason. It's not going too badly, sounds better live than I'm managing to get across on the recordings at the mo. I've rebuilt my guitar rig so many times that the pile of leftover bits were creating their own gravity field & innocent passers-by were getting stuck to the side of my house until I managed to prize them apart & flog them (sell the gear, not punish the people). There will be another incarnation of the pedal setup which will include a GR30 again & other gizmos. At the mo it's just a GNX4 that plays my backing tracks + changes my pedal settings as I go along- how good is that? No more tap dancing, I was having enough grief just co-ordinating my warbling with the pickin'. The other bit in there is a bbe to smarten the sound up a bit. This is indeed a very compact thing, I did take out an hd24, JMP1, PV50/50, Korg AX3000G, The GR, power amps, cabs, etc etc, and enough cable to connect the space shuttle to Houston- While it's in orbit.. |
